Speaking of stuff to be jealous of Northern Europe about, were running out of fish.

The U.S. imported more than a half billion dollars' worth of cod in 2017. That number has grown by more than $100 million since 2014, with fish that once came from Massachusetts now coming from places like Iceland and Norway.

This is a big deal to me, because cod is extremely healthy and cheap ATM...Its going to suck if the price sky rockets....

Stop eating so much fish and chips you fat fucks. Cod is supposed to be for slim, health conscious people.

Cod is pretty low. But you might want to keep it at twice a week.

Sometimes I wonder if its just the other meat industries fanning the flames of fear over mercury poisoning. I still wouldn't eat Swordfish every night.

UBI is a moral issue. It isn’t enough to live on, but might help people afford school and health care. I honestly don’t care about how irrational UBI is or balancing the budget, but I’m a firm believer in both.

Work is becoming increasingly demeaning and trivial. The culture has to shift back towards some other source of meaning (jesus Christ). If all of you could just see God as a mascot presenting a certain value system, maybe you’d understand. Regardless, life expectancy is dropping, automation is here, and drugs and other worthless and unhealthy distractions abound. I don’t hold out hope that people will realize that North European Protestant society was orders of magnitude better than any other culture in human history, but I do hope y’all start considering issues pertaining to quality of life as opposed to class, income, and GDP per capita.

Also, Turkey officially fell today. That’s a huge tragedy for all Muslims and middle easterners. Izmir was a favorite vacation spot for my wife and I when our kids were much younger. We wanted them to experience the Middle East without the headscarves and braindeads. Oh well, Islam leaves no room for independent thought and this just confirms it
