so are you disagreeing with me? I am disagreeing with you. There is no need to monopolize old content. We will be quite busy with the new content. Tons of raids, grouping, leveling new characters and lots of quests/faction grinding to do.

its way too late in the game for there to ever be a significant change in the way raiding operates on p99. neither velious nor the supposed removal of variance will fix it. Does VP gear help? Some, but you do not need it to win Velious encounters.

Want to unseat TMO?

Be better, thats about it. The playing field is leveled in Velious because you are basically starting from scratch (minus epics).

When Velious comes out you won't have anything to cry about if you aren't getting any raid mobs, you are just bad.

if you think for one minute that TMO's dominance of the raid scene now isnt preparing them to dominate velious then you just have your head in the sand or are clearly deflecting away from the truth of the matter. ya sure velious encounters aren't "dependant" on kunark progression, but im sure having a fully geared and equipped guild, with another fully geared and equipped alt force is going to give TMO quite an advantage in velious. will it be so much of an advantage to completely hold all content? i guess thats still up for debate, but my main point, is that they are so far ahead of everyone else now that the effort needed to dethrone them is simply to much compared to the reward. at least for me anyways, call me "bad at everquest" all you want, i simply have better ways to spend my time then poopsocking, clinging to my batphone or fighting with a bunch of basement dwellers over some emulated 13 year old pixels.

You are bad at everquest if you think poopsocking will exist in Velious. Plus why do you have to dethrone TMO to raid? Or is this what BDA wanted all along? There is simply much much more opportunity to raid in Velious. Dethrone TMO? Ya that won't happen until we quit. Have fun raiding... yep Velious!
