It woulda been at just the first punch, but Aljo was getting pieced up on the the ground. He took a few more semi-hard hits to the chin while laying prone which seemed to keep him in a stuck in a state of daze

Yeah watching it again ref did give aljo a chance to recover before he waved it off but there were some totally unblocked hammer fists in there. That huge right hand that put him down was brutal.

Will be fun now to watch omalley defend the belt, I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch either

Henry cejudo must feel like a chump now cause he lost to aljo and picked him to win this fight, which pretty much everyone else did to. Just like the last gaethje\porier though all it takes is one good shot

Undefeated for sure but I can think of a few times jones and khabib had close calls. That gustafson\jones fight where jon got taken down for the first time was pretty close. Khabib almost got subbed by porier of all people with a guillotine.

Khamzat is still just a freak of nature. I watched that kevin holland fight back and holy shit.

Yeah Jones Gustafson was so epic. If I recall part of the backstory on why was Jonny Bones overconfidence. He apparently was so confident from walking all over everyone else that he didn’t study the fighter at all, not even for 1 minute. So he had no idea what his opponent’s fighting style was or what he could do

Then mid-fight you can see it in his expression like “oh shit we got a fight here….”

Edit: Sadly also known as the fight that stole Gustafson’s heart and soul. He was never the same fighter after from what I heard, partly because he believed he had won
