VS members know to tip and tip well when using DAP. That being said its people that tip badly, not guilds...
Frankly when i have to explain that i /split 100 to your members, perhaps your members are not as knowledgeable about the druid class or even EQ as you might hope. Off the top of my head at least 5 DAP druids have sent a tell after porting me and i had to make them look for my /split. I implore you to remind your members that their service is voluntary and no one is forcing them to port people for plat. TL;DR Educate your taxi drivers first, for that is something you can control. Yeah, splitting does sometimes fall through the cracks. I'll bring that up st our next guild meeting.
Thanks for letting me know.

I always use /split to tip DAP for my ports and due to the fact i say "/g thanks, split the tip" before I run off, I've never had one ask me why I didn't tip. I wouldn't take a taxi and leave a $20 on the back seat without saying anything before I jump out and expect the driver to notice.

Ive used DAP in the past and quite a few of them seem to get upset that you're contacting them for their service or will ask for your location and not follow up or reply to tells, even if they are just afking at WC.
DAP offers no benefit or convenience over pming random solo players. More often than not a solo druid i contact and tip well is friendly and appreciative versus DAP who almost always seem entitled and rude, as if you're taking up their time or something (????). DAP is almost always a last resort, like a dodgy kebab shop when your favorite place is closed.

I'm sorry you had 1 bad experience but I'm gonna say thing nicely. Shit happens. If someone drops the ball well that's why we have many balls so to speak. If you want a bit of insight on what we are doing make a Druid join us and be the only one or three on during peak or hell off peak. You can see first hand what it is like then maybe you might change your attitude towards what we do.

I know for a fact that certain guilds have setup contracts with DaP in the past. For exampling killing wuoshi...
I know DaP won't admit these goings on and perhaps it's not the entire guild. But what we see day to day is just the surface. It's all political. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I don't think people realize just how high in demand ports are on this server. There is a load of platinum and people want to get from one place or another as fast as possible and not take th 30 minute scenic route. When you have anon off in DAP you literally get more tells than can be managed sometimes. It can be extremely overwhelming and tells can get lost in the madness. It is very much a job, sure it can be fun and rewarding play wise or just by helping a lower level get somewhere they otherwise couldn't, but it isn't like we are getting showered in free platinum for doing nothing. We deal with a lot of whiny shit you wouldn't believe if say, I tell someone I won't run to seb to pick them up and instead ask them to go to a Druid ring or evac if they want a pickup. The entitlement is strong. I haven't played a few months, but guild chat is pretty much overwhelmingly positive except for the few jerks we have to interact with. There are rotten apples everywhere, and occasionally people are just entitled to a bad day. Just my two cents
