Halloween Event 2016

Dear Braknar,

Thank you for taking the time to make us our very own Halloween event. It all felt really smooth (except for the clusterf*ck in NK when 200 ppl were hailing the fear monger for a 3 part quest dialogue). I have to say I enjoyed some of your writing. It was quite funny!


I enjoyed reading the book. I think most of the clues were good and I felt rewarded due to having a deep knowledge of the world.

I had a couple of thoughts...

1. Ultimately, it was super repetitive to run from place to place typing BOO!

2. Reliance on a porting class to accomplish objectives chafes my nards

3. Grindiness of the quest in general.

I didn't have time to accomplish all 12 of the first list. I got to 10 before I left for dinner. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow and it will still be up to finish out the rest and see what the prize is.

How do you finish this event?

I completed all 12 names and I wanted to get the ripped page so I was told where I needed to go. I hailed the 'a fear caller' and he just asked me what I wanted?

I tried every word and combination of words and nothing has worked? What am I doing wrong here?

I also want to add that I wasn't the only one who was hailing him and nothing they typed work as well.

The correct order of events is:
> Ask the NPC about the list being incomplete
> He tells you to go find the fear NPC and ask him about the four
> Fear NPC tells you the last four riddles

I tried this and it still didn't work...

I was lucky enough that I went to Lesser Faydark and someone mentioned one of the final four locations to me, so I was able to grab #13 and got a Goblin Gazughi Ring. I always wanted one of these rings and I'm sure doing this event to get it was easier then camping for it.

Overall, I had a cool time with the event except for the frustration of the wording not working for me and having the feeling that it was more leaning toward high level players in the end. I'm pretty high level and I was even saying that I don't feel like looking for a "Rez" just for a prize.

Much better than last year's in many ways (more time, better rewards, big ol' fights). The rewards were real neato too! I got a circlet, but my friend got one of them fancy ToV rings, and there was talk of beads too. The fights were pure chaos, with the NK one particularly so. The bar for next year has been decidedly raised. Bravo Braknar & pals.

I spent most the fight in NK Lagging out and de-synced. I toss one heal, Spell gems lock up, After while I LDed, came back was able to try and throw a dot on the boss LD'ed. Logged out to try and Re-sync. before the MOB died I crashed to Log in screen 4 times, then Got a zone unavailable before i was able to get back in. if i'm not edible for the raffle because of things that are out of my control i'm going to be pissed

I cannot participate the event due to not living in USA timezone.
