they are going to lose a lot of subscriptions because of this and people will get tired of trying to login...they think thats their fix to the population instead of a 2nd server, just because less people are logging in doesnt mean less demand its just means they are pissed off

current angry german kid theory is, they had a target for subs, they exceeded that target, so they truly do not care about this "issue." It's not an issue to them: they hit their $ number, so they are already at the strip club calling this one a success.

Still impossible to login. I reckon a lot of people planned to play hardcore for at least a couple days over this holiday weekend.

It doesn't seem like Daybreak will have this sorted out by the end of the business day today and I wouldn't at all be surprised if the people who're unable to login and play over the holiday weekend will just decide not to play at all.

Lotta people over on the official EQ forums makin threads about moving over to P99; how ironic. Daybreak officially recognizes P99 and P99 pushes their Velious release back so as to not infringe on the population of the TLP.......then Daybreak's themselves cause a mass exodus of potential subscribers to P99

I was tempted to fire it up for something to do this weekend, because the wife and kids are out of town, and I have a 4 day weekend to myself to do whatever I want. However, the cluster launch quickly stopped me.

Also I find it hilarious that you all pick out every little detail of Ragefire that "isn't classic" yet you seem to forget that your precious P99 has been in Kunark for ****FOUR AND A HALF YEARS**** and isn't at all "classic" at this point.

Have fun when Velious releases and every major boss is killed within the first weekend because people have 5, 6 and 7+ toons with full BIS VP gear!!!!

VP items won't make much difference. If stuff dies the first week, it's because of better knowledge of the encounters and more min-maxing on what classes people play - e.g. more monks, rogue, and wizards dps and less paladins/necros/shadowknights/rangers.
