Daybreak will probably be bankrupt soon enough and things can go back to normal. It doesn't take a genius to see that they played their hand because people would rather play here than their shitty prog server and they need the money. They (DB/SOE) haven't put out anything remotely enjoyable or fresh in over a decade. They are a complete laughing stock in the gaming world and it makes me sad to see this server bend the knee.

People here are upset because there was no warning. Instead of getting an update post saying heavy moderation was incoming and shit was going to change all we got was a bunch of confusion and LOLUMAD replies. Learn how to communicate with the forum community for fucks sake. Just because you volunteer for a job doesn't mean you get to do it half-assed.

irrelevant as elfsim addict feelings may be, the usual complete lack of professionalism on the part of staff is kind of at odds with the "clean up the forums" mission. I don't even mean that as a dig - you guys get your jollies full-time power tripping on a bunch of ingrate degenerates, and it's hard to seriously fault you for it beyond a little bit of pity. But maybe if a change is expected on the part of the players you might consider some alterations on the staff side.

Plus, don't you think a simple announcement would have saved a lot of work on the banning/cleanup side?

Would have saved a lot of grief and wondering why it was all going on. Instead we get Sikorsky with his "well I hope you're all proud of yourselves" comment as if we were meant to have known.

Communication saves bans, hurt feelings and offers a mutual respect which puts everyone on the same page...deal us in next time <3

We shouldn't need to explain ourselves about why we would like our own website to look less like 4chan. You should simply respect our decision to clean things up. It shouldn't have taken an agreement with Daybreak to push this.
