rofl yea ok ok yea haha... I mean like - what I am trying to say is I wish people would take a step back when someone called them a nazi and be like, whoah what did I deserve to be called a nazi?! Insted of being all HOW DARE YOU!

If someone name calls you something you gotta be like whoah what did I do?

like I am seriously apologetic for being garish.. And I can admit I am, and I see why I am wrong for it. But I ask to not let that get in teh way of the discussion and I really want people to realise its not cool to use hate speach.

LIke u know how like a terrible christian band is like trying to be cool and hip to speak to a new demographic?

My OP was like me being a terrible forumposter - trying to be hip and cool to speak to the demographic.

It failed as bad as christian hiphop videos fail.

Two words, the Midwest. Seems like a lot of people who play eq are from the Midwest. That probably explains the homophobia.

two words: intranets.

Anonymity allows a lot of people to act the fool. Back in the late 90's early 00's, I thought this was nothing but good, because unlike in real life, people just let it hang out, and usually most forums sorted out assholes from merely people with a nasty tongue.

I remember back around 2006, my guild leader called a member who was on chemo "cancer boy." The internet can be funny and visious at the same time.

But, I wonder if people understand the point.

I would argue, when something isn't funny, no sense in throwing around shit.

Not sure if gay jokes are in that category. No interest in deciding. My humor doesn't use those kinds of jokes, so the entire issue can suck a bag full of dicks as far as I would care. And not like there is anything wrong with that.

it disgusts me when people confuse homophobia with the practice of hate.

phobias are generally not an intentional point of view, and considering todays popular stance on gender-roles and sexuality, i would expect folks to have a little more sympathy for those suffering from such a disorder.

think about it this way, would you rag on someone for being afraid of the dark?

Except actual phobias dredge up anxiety/stress and not disgust as homophobia does. Have yet to meet anyone who was so terrified of "the gay" that they actually had an anxiety attack and fainted at the sight of two lesbians necking. Homophobic people aren't suffering, they're only making others around them have to suffer for their own ignorance.
