Most people don't care what is going on behind the scenes. If this upsets people I don't know what to tell you, it is just a game. People make it out to be like we are voting for President.

People are going to join the guild that they believe will provide the most entertainment. Players want to log in and enjoy a couple hours of nostalgia. If people are raiding and feel like they are getting screwed out of gear they will probably leave the guild. If someone is getting decked out in the best gear from casual play they probably don't really care what else is going on.

I didn't even fully appreciate prenerf staves until after I got one. I got it just because I had the plat and it would always be that one thing I didn't and likely couldn't have, but once I put it to use on twinks (prenerf is clickable at level 1) and on my monk in VP during the train wars with FE, I came to appreciate it quite a bit. I'm trying to buy a second now. Why not, right?

The staff really belongs to my monk.
