they're so bad because they work so well on dumb people that are prone to addiction, it's the same shit as putting a bunch of random bullshit near the checkout counter at a store, they know impluse buying is a thing and they literally pay smart people millions of dollars to hack human brains and behavior for profit.

and now we don't even protect the kids from this shit, so fuck it, whatever.

Hasbro stock went up on them combining literal gambling mechanics into their games for children, it is brought up as a positive thing in a earnings call lol

Lol hell yea. I got my dad to read the Drizzt books and by the end of the first where Drizzt’s dad does something pretty heroic (being vague to not spoil anything for those that haven’t read it but might), of course my dad was hooked

Then later Pwent became his favorite character. We used to love how Bruenor would tell him to grease his armor but Pwent would always say (or think) that the blood of the enemies he shakes to pieces on it is the grease…
