Lol -- wow, exactly $150. Nuts that people will spend that for two items, one fairly easily obtained, on an emulated server.

Oh, and like I said, Uthgaard knows who Plat Lord is (see above post). If you know how to use the p99 search function, you can find his p99 forum name, too. I'm not tapped into the whole GM scene on here, but it probably means something that he's bold enough to sell millions of plat worth of items from a single project 1999 forum account that was linked to his in-game char.
$150 for a damn private server item?! Make you wonder how much money this person has made off this server.

Ya and I remember staff saying they found the dupers, banned them and deleted the currency

There was a lot more than that. In 2010 there was the silver ruby veil exploit, the copper to plat exchange in soltemple, a large number of showeq packet injections, varying phases of the trade dupe, which to date has always had either a vulnerability to duping or good odds of losing items in a trade, tons of items on vendors that should never have been, more that I'm probably forgetting.

Pretty much, Rogaine sums it up with "So now that I've hopefully explained just how time consuming RMT investigations are, do you really think I would spend the little time I have trying to track down people spending real money on server items, instead of spending my time working on bugs, improving server performance/stability, implementing new systems to make our jobs easier (both csr and developers), and tracking down exploits and hacks?" So do you want bugs fixed or RMT banned? He only has time for one of them.
