Actually that is ridiculously untrue.

There is no such scientific class as race. Sociologists group people in terms of ethnicity, culture, and nationality.

Race is a pseudo scientific term which lumps people together based on arbitrary observations, such as skin color or eye shape.

Terms like Caucasoid, Negroid, and Mongoloid were used as tools by a small group of people (supported by a large racist population) in mainly America to give them a base from which they could erroneous-legitimately start building pseudoscience with an edge for ethnocentrism.

Racism, as a term, is still valid in that it encompasses the negative feelings and actions of people who erroneously see race as a basis for discrimination of people.
