Noob question so I’ll ask it here:

Is whatever AC (and to a lesser extent stats like agi) is doing to reduce mob damage per hit calculated before that amount is then absorbed by a damage absorb buff?

I would assume so. This would mean that having better AC would also mean your runes aren’t getting removed as fast as well, correct? Since the rune is ultimately taking less total damage?

So people with ridic raid gear with a pile of ac and stats are not only getting more survivability but also a much more efficient rune if so

imo agi does more for u than staright up ac cuz for reals four 'magical ac' above and beyond the softcap is worth way more than 100ac on an item, butt jimjam may or may not agree with me he's the xpert and says agi is meaningless on this box

i'de say IF and IF (IF IF IF) you are already at the worn ac softcap (ez for casters to hit)

then the difference between 75 agi and 255 agi is like 10% less dmg on a BIG LONG FIGHT where u aren't getting slapped by like the AoW or hit by greens.

if ur an enchanter and ur farmin light blues

u know u may actually get something outa it

butt channeling is borked and so its lol u can get hit as much as u want ) and agi wouldn't help with that anyway cuz even 1 point of dmg should kill ur channeled spells

I just meant that if you have significantly more survivability from, say, raid gear, you are sorta triple dipping. You have more health from your gear. You have a reduction of incoming damage to your health. You also have a reduction in incoming damage to your shield, which is also a reduction in cost to your mana from having to re-apply shields earlier

Don't play eq expecting high level loot or respect from the OG guilds.

Play like you're going to solo in lvl 30 rags to 60 and be invisible to the drug addicts.

I've done drugs too but I didn't act like that. But let's face it, the players in those types of guilds have no souls. They are blood sucking parasites. They take the most and give the least. Hopefully when armagaddeon comes around they will either grow a pair and apologise for being scum or become extinct like they should be because they are a literal waste of space in their present form and they seem to be proud of it.

The scum need to be seperated from rest of herd tbh. Scumbags shouldn't be on the same server as good folk. It's unfair because good folk are non-violent and non-aggressive whereas <Good Guys> for example are so they will be rich and good folk will always be poor with that setup. Those guilds should be on a server alone together competing, hogging, arguing, and trampling on each other worse than animals to their hearts content while the rest of us play fair, socialise and have a good time together.
