this is something that blows my mind too

i would go on tiktok in like 2020 and see officers and NCOs posting on tiktok despite their chain of command ordering them not to

they said they didnt care because its they rights

in 2007 our E-1s fresh out of basic were hella more disciplined and understood opsec and how serious it would be to go and post something on facebook or myspace that they knew would ultimately get them court martialed

i can just see like a huge difference in the discipline of our troops 20 years ago to today, like E-1s from 2005 were more disciplined than captains and staff sergeants in 2023

Or the nurses doing silly choreographed dances for tik tok in front of patients dying in the covid rooms

I work in BH and people here have the darkest senses of humor of anyone I’ve met. But most still know that posting the wrong thing on social media will get you canned

Some also had to learn the hard way that Ring doorbells record everything, so don’t shit talk your manipulative frequent flier clients in front of their door before they answer it…

yeah man if today's generation had to storm normandy and fight the nazis, we'd lose because all the kids who hit the beach when the landing craft ramps dropped would be tryin to take selfies against Czech hedgehogs while tryin to get the pillbox with the MG42 in frame and that would be the end of them.
