I think he is good at PR. Space X, Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin are all just competing for government contracts to privatize your money, using technology you paid to develop.

And if he appears as a hero, its because he may be the chosen hero of the Mega Corp era who will have us all vote to put an end to American democracy.

Which is de-facto ended because we just don't bother to do it. Too busy getting evicted from our rental homes.

Which is why the US Govt is happy to have megacorps buying all the single family homes, because when their middle class is fully cucked out and can be evicted from wherever they live at any moment and can lose their job (over 50% us jobs are government either federal state or local) for basically any legal infraction as matter of policy, we all have to STFU so why even have democracy?

Could be worse but the people we are trained to HOPE to make it BETTER have no interest in that. Thats why when republicans controlled both houses and the presidency, they did nothing, and when democrats controlled both houses and the presidency, they did nothing.

He was a rich person involved in the rich persons game of high profile big money tech companies. He became additionally rich.

He took that money and spent it to cash in on the planet wide government mandate to force people to use electric cars and build an electric car company that would take advantage of all the public money being gifted to private companies that engage in this activity.

He simultaneously, he started a space company using technologies developed with public $$ to create a program that was already created by NASA (US peoples money for benefit of US people) that his company would then sell BACK to NASA / US government, to privatize the profits of this activity.

That is exactly how it's been planned to be. It doesn't matter who it was or is that wins the lottery like Musk.

Mr. Musk is a celebrity. Designed and curated to effect what was planned before the founding of NASA.

I have this very serious belief that like my other hero Columbus, who eon folks usually hate too, that the onlything that matters in the world is us moving from one rock to another, and if we dont move from one rock to antoher we will decend into madness and kill each other.

If you disagree, look at literally every rock on earth and youll see that's how it works.

So the only thing that matters is the pursuit that elon encourages.

No these are just hopeless aspirations that are difficult enough that they can provide an excuse to continue striving for something physical to fill a spiritual whole.

Humans are designed to live on god power, and anything less leaves you unsatisfied. It's like how someone that never drinks water (actual water) finds it kinda gross at first, and you cultivate an addiction for actual health and vitality, the same goes with cultivating an appreciation and a need to actually live in Love / in pursuit of the good of others, which totally heals you an supercedes your need to bolster up your own well being all the time.

So it's just a meta distraction that works for a while.
