Socialism and communism probably beat unfettered capitalism, or oligarchy, where as Aristocracy, and feudalism, and social stratification are kind of the endpoints of Socialism. And then Anarchism, piracy is the end of Feudalism, and we wind back up with some form of capitalism.

So it goes like this.

Socialism > communism > feudalism > rebellion > anarchy > capitalism > Socialism.

Except we may not get the rebellion or anarchic phase because like I said, the states are too technologically powerful, surveillance and police strong enough to put down dissent and rebellion. No frontiers or new states for the pirates or innovators to thrive in.

All this is being pushed into the virtual space and there are entirely new industries in controlling this virtual real-estate, infrastructure, information, and "intellectual property".
