he killed some empire warm body who had 30k on his character, it was an elaborate plan that came into play to get this done of course but clearly it wouldn't be illegal on a pvp server to kill someone, or am i wrong here? the rules are very fuzzy at this point

Well coin is loot able. He setup the conditions for said player to have all that coin on them when he killed them.

Yeah I guess, but telling some one you want to trade and then coining them is deception. Similar to telling some one you just want to click their item and then stealing it. Need to trust the person before doing stupid shit like that.
