Because raiders who put in time from their normal lives (which believe it or not most work still on p99) have a real sense of accomplishment and pride in what they do, even for a game this old the remake into classic focuses that challenge again for players, not like your typical MMO today that gives it all to you. At least on P99 classic you got to work for it to get to that point and when you do it instills a sense of pride into each player. That is why people bicker and argue over trivial shit here and will continue. The same as gangs who control their blocks.

As far as AOW tonight it was awesome to watch as Asgard pretty much had the upper hand in getting it all running smoothly with taken and Forsaken.

Congrats to Asgard, Taken, and Forsaken! Well done guys.

All 3 guilds put in an equal amount of work on this kill. Nobody really had "the upper hand". Communication was definitely difficult as we were running 3 different voice comms and 3 different guild chats but we got through it better than could be expected in that situation.

If you log into an emulated version of a 20 year old video game and feel accomplished and instilled with pride, you should really try some new things in life. These are the same people that fought tooth and nail for the 400th Trakanon spawn.

I just beat diablo 1 legit last night, I felt accomplished. I didn't get demonspike coat this round, but going to hit it again, and hope for the best! Got some great jewelry and weapons though!!

I think today's AoW kill was a good sign of server health compared to what p1999 looked like 2 years ago. The fact that Velious cannot be completely dominated by guild and other people get a chance to kill real mobs is cool. This expansion should be much more sustainable than the last.

itt a bunch of Asgard and Forsaken get super cocky and call Rampage and us out and strut around like they've done something miraculous, and we all respond by pointing out that what happened here is by no means interesting aside from, you know, it's cool that some people got some AoW gear, those people are lucky and we all wish we were them.


Honestly, congrats to loot winners, and it's a big step forward, but for people to be talking to Rampage and us like they've beaten the game and we've lost is just... sad. And directly being like "OHHH SHIT, TAKE THAT HA HA HAAA, YOU MUDDAFUCKAAAAS HOW DOES THAT DICK TASTE" is ridiculous and not super classy. Especially considering the state of things with regards to how our guilds have been competing lately- each guild has had some pretty decent wins and has a lot going for them, and by no means are any of these guilds other than Rampage really "dominating" anything- we've all had some really pathetic losses and wipes, too.


I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you need two of your friends to help you beat a guy up, maybe don't do a touchdown dance around the guy while he's tending to his bloody nose. The guy is Rampage, by the way, not the AoW.
