Leveling a Shaman and Paladin through level 10. Learned that zones have a more even flow than I thought. For some reason I always thought, when I saw a red con mob, that I'd have to come back to the zone someday to kill it. Now I'm realizing it's just a more sharp divide between level ranges.

So after three levels of farming the Dwarf Skeletons in Butcherblock Mountains, I'm starting to see the red con Goblin Warriors become deep blue con.

I always pictured EQ zones as having incredibly wide level ranges, but this is a step away from that.

Yea this is truth, one thing many people don't realize because often times some of those jumps suck. Going from pure melee low dark blue to black/yellow casters for example.

I will say, one of my favorite things about classic EQ was the Hill Giant/Griffin complex. Where a zone designed to be level 5-15, has a few level 30-35 mobs roaming about that high levels randomly slay and may help some noobs while they're at it. I really wish it had been kept this way onward through Kunark.

Like some level 55 frost Giants in Dreadlands or some level 30 forest Giants in Field of Bones.

The Rez trick works in between zonings on self buffs if you time it right.

Enchanters can Clarity, Druids can SoW/Mask ( even if getting rezzed into an indoor zone), etc.

Just get a Rez box, cast the spell on yourself and with a sliver of cast time left accept the Rez box.

Was used quite often during classic to SoW indoors after a Rez $$$.

That you have to zone to see language skill point increases. Actually a bunch of good info here: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/s...l?skill=12&p=4

It was stated before, but while leveling pottery for Velious, I learned that shift-clicking a stack of items will yield one of that item on your cursor.

I didn't realize this until pottery 80. My level 60 warrior has a fletching skill of 200. Rest in peaces

Shift+click picks up the whole stack

Ctrl+click picks up 1 item off the stack

I learned that, unlike Mage and Wizard Bolt spells, arrows WILL strike any mob that wanders between you and your target.

I REALLY didn't mean to shoot that werewolf!!

I've seen bolt spells do the same thing!

I recently learned that Toolboxes sold in Ak'Anon and Steamfont only cost a little over 1gp while Backpacks cost over 5gp. You can buy 5 toolboxes for a little more than the cost of one backpack.
Toolboxes weigh the same as Backpacks and have the same number of slots, but will hold GIANT objects while Backpacks only hold LARGE stuff.

I learned what the term "poopsock" means. I've played MMOs since I was 12, when UO was released... and have never seen the word before until venturing these forums as of recent.

The definitions are pretty funny, and I had no idea it pertained to EQ players mainly, or first at least.

Done learning for the day.
