About to head outside myself even though it is cold ... someone please report if going outside fixed your issue.

It sounds as though this downtime had more to do with a physical location change than any update (though I am wondering how that could cause this new error everyone is getting), but I just want to be certain: Is there an update to the client?

no clue noticed that the servers are no longer named (Kunark) or whatever on the Eqemu server list page though... maybe im just being dumb with hopes.

So a long time ago when I was just a wee lad, I waited about a week with no internet dieing to play EQ. I was playing Fallout: Tactics to kill the time and I come across this random encounter after days of no eq called "The Bazaar" where NPC's were standing around saying Need SoW paying 15pp! and WTS WS 2kpp. pst! and on and on... i felt that experience needed to be shared [You must be logged in to view images.
