I can just imagine him showing up at someone else's potluck that he didn't contribute to and then yelling furiously at the host because the people bringing in free pizza didn't choose the toppings based around solely HIS tastes: "This is FUCKING BULLSHIT! I DON'T LIKE MUSHROOMS and FUCK YOU and all these unpaid volunteers who spent their own time and money bringing me this free, delicious food!"

This, and only this. EQ PVP is so bad it's pointless. Nothing in this game is balanced for PVP. People don't start on PVP servers because of PVP, they do it because of the excitement of a fresh EQ server.

And developers can be shifted to the Vellious team, if this were a company, it would've been out of business year one. Not to mention sharing cpu/disk iops/bandwidth with some shitty PVP servers. It lessens the blue experience.. and in the end, someone needs to pay for it.

This isn't a fucking company. These people aren't being paid salaries and haven't signed paperwork stating they may be called upon to perform duties outside of their defined scope. There's no benefits, there's no PTO and there sure as shit isn't any impetus for the administration to start bossing around people who are donating their goddamn time.

People are throwing the Velious team directly under the fucking bus because a couple other people NOT RELATED TO VELIOUS AT ALL enjoy coding for PvP.

In that situation, guess what happens? Velious progresses at the same pace and PVP doesn't get done. Nothing is solved.

as for me, i've already said everything i needed to say here. Just wanted to let you know is not that i don't like what you "point out", i was just trying (as many other ppl) to help you point in the right direction so you don't come across as a whinny, stubborn, angry and selfish human being.
this is a great project, that takes along a bunch of ppl that was feeling blue because that they though was a great experience in their lives was now just a memory. being able to relive all this, because of the unpaid effort of a group of guys, it's just awesome. we should all pitch in however we can. and i don't think complaining and second guessing them is ever the right way to go. just that. not that they, or any grown up for that matter, should feel bad for whatever they read in the internet about themselves (this includes you, and again, do not take this as a personal attack, rather more of a friendly way of trying to get you to see the grass is greener than how you see it. and if not, we could keep on the discussion for as long as velium comes... but, do know that arguing with someone over the internet it's like playing in the special olympics... even if you win, your still retarded.)
