Tough way to learn the rules I suppose. Either way sounds like you were enjoying playing and earning your gear after that first RMT. So start up a new character and screw what everyone else has and just be proud of what you earned on that toon. If your dead set on getting your banned character back, your better off not saying anything on the forums and waiting 6 months and posting in the appropriate part of the forum..petition forum maybe. It still may not happen but If it does you should delete the items you originally RMT'd

Just to the few of you out there who knew me well enough from grouping, etc. My account was banned for RMT, in retrospect I feel like an idiot for not trying to find out if it was against the rules or not. (I legitimately didnt know) I had multiple other players I grouped with along the way tell me about Platlord and figured...well if other people in game are doing it, why can't I.....it must be ok.

I bought 15k (twice) and twinked a lowbie rogue and got some gear for myself...I finally wasnt the only twink in groups. I had no interest in doing any more RMT, no reason to go crazy but for once I felt I wasn't undergeared in every group I was in.

I guess a lot of people probably already know RMT is a bannable offense, I didn't...again I guess that is my own fault for being ignorant/not being on the forums all the time. I just relied on information from players in the game....you know kind of like back in P1999.

Just wanted to say goodbye to those of you I shared good times with, I don't have enough time to think about leveling up another character from scratch after already doing it once. I am really going to miss this game, I hope this saves someone else from doing what I did.

I'm someone else who'd rather set NegaStoat's pubic hairs on fire than pay real money for plat as well.

Don't feel bad, my 3 accounts were banned today, and I've never taken place in RMT.

here is some reading for you, it is brief but i suspect you can do it.

Reischauer: "The cooperative, relativistic Japanese is not thought of as the bland product of a social conditioning that has worn off all individualistic corners, but rather as the product of firm inner self-control that has made him master of his... anti-social instincts... Social conformity... is no sign of weakness but rather the proud, tempered product of inner strength." This mastery is achieved by overcoming hardship, through self-discipline, and through personal striving for a perfection that one knows is not possible but remains a worthy goal."

I didn't read through this entire thread but I just wanted to say, I'm very new to P99. Just started a couple of weeks ago and I'm only level 22... I find it hard to believe that you made it to level 44 without hearing somewhere that RMT was against the rules. It's posted everywhere, when people do talk about it in game it's to say that it's against the rules. Either way, it sucks that you lost your account. The law is hard, but it is the law.
