What server did you play on webrunner5?

On E'ci there was no problem doing regular group rotation on camp spots in LGuk or Seb.
If a person left a new one on a list came down to replace as needed.
There was the occasional group whipes and some groups were not as effective, but you didn't need a guild to get stuff that could be done with a group.
I never did the bottom of Seb that much, but the few times I did it was with groups created at entrance with a friend or two.
As I said in previous post, I think E'ci was a bit unique in that the average player were pretty good.

The key for me and my guild was that everyone respected us. We were kind and helped people and got help in return if needed. No idea what rank Na Koa was, but not at the top, thats for sure. This made a big difference when I did my clerics epic quest. Believe I waited in line for Ragefire for about 2 months and camped him for almost a week with Nagafen popping up after 4 days.

All gear I got on all my characters were all camped for fair and square. No random rolls.
First come first serve was the common way iirc. Could take a week camping a single spot before I got even close to me being next in line for the item I wanted. And at that point you didn't leave until it dropped, even if it would take another 12+ hours.
Took me around 24 hours or so camping jboots in Najena. Think I sold one TBB once, but that I got only cause no one in group needed so it was randomed off.
I played on the Torvo Server. I could not at the time devote that much time to EQ. I was working a lot of hours and had a large family to feed lol. Nice to see you did that well on E'ci.

By reading the last few post, some people are agaist the MQuesting and it seems those agaist it might be the only ones making massive profits from it lol. I think everyone should be granted the same oppunity to EARN there epic rather then sit in EC collecting plat to buy there epic...same item in the end yes but the adventure has been completely removed...such a shame a few limited number of people are allowed to get there hands on it (Im mostly talking about epic MQs)

Ill vote to nerf MQing any day to help the community.

Define need. I'm serious bro. Define "need" in a video game. Now for extra credit, describe to us a way that your "need" can be verified, a method that cannot be trivially and undetectably scammed via alts.

Alternatively, go read what Plato tells us Socrates had to say about justice. Maybe that will help you see the real scope of the problem you foolishly imagine your silly undefinable and unenforceable NBG trope helps us to solve.

hmm... Reread my post and not seeing the "go ape shit" bit. You might want to take a couple deep breaths before your next post.

NBG doesn't work in the general case, it fails because people lie, they lie often, they lie to people they call their friends.

I abide by whatever loot position the rest of the group takes. I've certainly have passed on many items that I knew were upgrades for others, although I can't be 100% certain that they hadn't sold a better piece at some earlier time. I've seen players do the "I camped all my stuff" routine and have it turn out multiple times that it really meant "I saved all my pp & cash loots for my twinks because I can get randoms in PUGs to equip my main by claiming need".

NBG can work in a guild context, but only if being a member of the guild is more desirable to the potential liar/cheater than the pixels they're drooling after. Lotta toons in high end guilds who parasited off earlier guilds (either the player hopped guilds or the account was sold/traded), rewarding that shit is the real crime of the TMO's of this world against their server communities.

Final point: It's all greed. You play how you like and I hope you have a good time doing so, but don't expect me not to laugh at the notion of dressing up any player's pixel greed by calling it need. It's all greed.

This is the sad reality. It still blows my mind that RMT even exists on this server and people lie to everyone. I think half the players don't like playing EQ as much as they just like being dicks and are so pathetic in real life they need to do it in pixels. I'll never understand the gratification of paying for an item or screwing over others.

Don't make it out to be worse than it is. The jerks tend to stand out in your memory more than the inoffensive decent guys who handled themselves fine in your groups and didn't do anything wild to make you remember them. There're certainly more than enough jerks here, but they're still only a small minority of the total. Many of them are drawn to the endgame, there's a higher concentration there, but they're a minority still. And certainly IME there's a higher concentration of jerks amongst the RMTers also. Even so, I'm pretty sure that at all levels in this community, with the possible exception of the leadership cliques of certain organizations, the cool people outnumber the assholes who wrongly imagine themselves to be cool.
