Is there any chance of you all removing the link to Secrets patch? SOE only just decided to keep AK alive and if they suddenly start losing a load of revenue because EQ PC users are switching to AK they may well reverse that decision and then none of us will be able to play on AK.

Realistically if they were ever to release an official PC client it would come with shit like the marketplace packaged in so SOE could make some money. It would be a real shame if this caused the death of the only official server that's even close to original EQ. Perhaps as a compromise you could pass it around to P1999 members in PMs only to prevent a mass release to EQ PC players?

This is a load of ridiculous BS. If tons of people migrate to AK they can either start charging us again or a number of a million other options.

We want as many people coming to Al'Kabor as possible, as well as p1999. Dont speak for a community that does not represent your sentiments telaman.

I'm not speaking for the community, I'm speaking for myself. I feel like it's a legitimate concern and I'm entitled to say whatever I want about it. There's a reason they're not charging us now, so what makes you think they'll come up with another option later rather than just shutting it down? I can't read SOEs mind but they've had the option of releasing a PC client for AK for ages since that's what Hobart's been using to log in for years and have chosen not to for whatever reason.

Anyway I figured I'd ask and Pringles said no which is fine. In the end, no one really knows what will happen with this client so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I will not take the patch off my server [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Its not harming anything. Connecting with a Mac or a PC is no different when you're playing a game.
