You'll have to excuse these pvp n00bs, they never actually played on the PVP servers so they are easily confused between Rallos Zek and Vallon Zek.

Mippo was my character name in Afterlife on Mithaniel Marr. My Vallon Zek character name was Graym. The "Sebilis" comment is because my guild on Vallon Zek, Prophets, kept the rest of the server out of Sebilis for 99% of the Kunark expansion.

I never played on Rallos Zek, these guys who never played on the PVP servers are easily confused between the servers.

Not to derail too much, I am glad mage pets poof. I always thought it was a bit too much to have your pet zone with you. VZTZ pets seemed so powerful all the time that its nice to look forward to pet classes not being so supreme. (counecrogh) Red69 pets quad for 98s on mobs and 60 somethings on players. Was silly.

Pets will poof when zoning, that is classic. But, mages are complete shit without their pet; No CC. No ability to heal themselves. Retardedly long cast times (until Kunark) where people either run out of range or get interrupted. They do decent in dungeons due to their pet, but still aren't that great overall. Usually can beat melee due to just strafing around the pet and self dmg shield.

And pets zoning didnt happen until at least PoP

I remember the day it was implemented, i visited both PoK and Baz with a HUGE elemental pet
(from casting moster summoning: summon giant > zone = huge elemental)

edit: they fixed this huge elemental thing 2-3 days later

The truth is some of the classis stuff is PURE shit. total utter SHIT. Pet classes pets not zoning Is SHIT. thats like healer classes zoning and having to rebuff again its stupid and dumb.
