I ride a single speed, mostly because my rides don't need gears. ABQ is pretty flat, if I wanted to go mountain biking, I would have purchased a mountain bike. For inner-city riding, my single speed is fine.

I don't know why people h8 on fixies so much, tbh. I'm only going to talk shit to you if you don't have brakes. I mean, come on.
i use my bike as a car replacement, so i have to be able to carry large loads without blowing a knee. Fixies really are very practical commuters, require almost no maintenance to the whole drive train contraption.

But yeah when I need to pull a 150lb fridge over a hill i'm not doing it on a fixie

I use my bicycle for 90% of my commuting. If it's groceries, or something that's super far, I'll use my scooter. I haven't started my car in 3+ months. MY MOTHER WILL NOT LET ME GET RID OF IT.

I <3 my scooter. I pay like, $9 in gas per month and the insurance was <$100 for 12 months. So economical.

what's so great about $2k bikes do they massage your nuts

you aren't going to win the tour de france on it but if you don't inject testosterone into your asshole you probably weren't shooting for that goal anyway

you can get a bike that will get you around for $200 or less.

What kind of bags do you guys bike with? I think Messenger is pretty traditional. Biking with a normal backpack kind of sux, imo.

Just recently picked up this one, was using it's sister version for the last 3 years, and it's been wonderful. It's a little small sometimes, but that's what I have my back rack for, or if need be, the scooter.

because it's fucking cute, okay!!!

It's impractical and I'll never buy it, but it sure is cute. I dream of someday owning a womans bike so I can wear dresses again.
