Originally the internet was built and existed to support the exchange of useful information from people who had lives and thus could report on their field experiences.

Now we have shovelquest who spends his days posting here. Think about it (not too hard).

Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? from Smithsonian Folkways

Quote:
Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? Since 1985, many have enjoyed this edutainment computer game and public television game-show spinoff, but did you know the game, which blends abundant geography knowledge with an intriguing plot, also features international music from Smithsonian Folkways. This playlist is a complete collection of the music approved for use in the 1996 game release, tracing the sounds Carmen Sandiego encountered around the world, from New Orleans jazz to Icelandic folk songs, to thrilling Nigerian drum beats, Afghani teahouse music, Japanese Shinto processionals, folk dance songs of Argentina, and more.
This is a playlist of those songs.

Swiss Policy Research - Contents
Quote:
Swiss Policy Research (SPR) [formerly Swiss Propaganda Research], founded in 2016, is an independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit research group investigating geopolitical propaganda. SPR is composed of independent academics and receives no external funding other than reader donations. Our analyses have been published by numerous independent media outlets and have been translated into more than two dozen languages.
I first heard of them in 2017 and they produce excellent maps and infographics.

Edit: I haven't checked in a few years and while older research contains citations, at least one of the new posts from the last 12 months makes some pretty big claims and the citations are behind a JS-wall and blocks requests from Tor exit nodes.
