Peer review is an important aspect of scientific research and publication. It does ensure that quack-pot things don’t find themselves in main stream journals without scrutiny or challenge as publication in reputable journals carries the weight of trust.

This is where Dr (former, licensure revoked) Andrew Wakefield’s publication in the Lancet journal regarding Thimerosal and Autism link fell flat on its face. Nobody could reproduce it and it wasn’t until years later that it came to light that his research was frankly fraudulent.

Unfortunately, by then the damage was done.

Don't come after Andrew Wakefield like that. These people look to him as second father, he's right up there with Trump as one of the greatest scientific minds of all times to the RnF crowd. You better tread lightly around here, mister.

Thanks for bringing up Dr. Wakefield! I also dug deep on him, but I looked at his side of the story also not just the pharma side of it. Here is a great interview with him recently where he explains exactly what happened to him and why. Just incase you want to be less bias.

Funny that you bring up Wakefield vs big pharma. Are you aware that he put in for a patent for the only Thimerosol free MMR vaccine citing patients the neurodevelopmental concerns that his (and only his) study found “evidence” for?

Are you aware of what a conflict of interest is?

Dr (former, licensure revoked) Wakefield stood to make 10s to 100s of millions of dollars/pounds on the back of his flawed study that was later deemed to not just be inaccurate … but frankly fraudulent.

It’s a huge part of why the medical board (not “big pharma”) had his license revoked.

He would have been able to get his medical license back like his partner did that was working on the same paper at the time. Dr. Wakefield did not have 500k to fight for his license back from the Pharma attack on his factual paper. His partner also had his license taken but he had far more financial resources than Wakefield to fight for it back. All of this is explained in that interview I posted. Wakefield learned that if you write papers that make vaccines look bad this was the MMR vaccine, then you better have deep pockets to fight back. Anyways watch that interview, you might learn something or atleast have a more balanced outlook on his experience and story.

Indeed, Why i listen to doctors who have nothing to gain only to lose when it comes to this latest covid19 experiment. Seems most are drinking the Big pharma koolaid. They only listen to sources that have massive conflicts of interest lol. Covid wiped out a lot of critical thinking skills it seems.
