It is astounding that you cannot understand that decreasing gun deaths does not always directly correlate to lower overall violence. If gun deaths go down by 100, and death by other methods goes up by 100, there is no difference in how many people die.

The gun is not possessing people, forcing them to kill others. It is the person harboring murderous intent that uses the gun to kill people.

Banning guns does not reduce the number of people harboring murderous intent.

At this point (unless you are trolling) it is clear you have a serious bias against guns that goes past reason and logic. It is clouding your judgement on the matter.
