Better as in "by the time the world drops their dependence on oil and the economies of middle eastern countries collapse, several of them will have attained nuclear arsenals and harbor a massive resentment against each other and the rest of the world"? If so, I unsarcastically agree.
That’s one way of looking at it, and also exactly why one would support Israel. Keeping everyone in the region in line

If that’s your view of the people of the Middle East, I’m not sure why you support the Palestinian cause. Without colonial interference, people in the Middle East *might* do something better. Either way, our entanglement doesn’t end unless and until the oil isn’t relevant

I also doubt the rest of the world let’s this problem fester. Europe is right there and China has strategic interests, especially in not letting Muslim exteemists acquire WMDs. It doesn’t have to be our burden

Alternatively, call Israelis war criminals but harbor the same views of Muslims (violent dickheads incapable of anything but murder, w/ nukes no less!) but post indignantly on a game forum about how at least you aren’t Israeli

Boy oh boy I bet you can suck a golf ball through a garden hose

Actually, before America came in the region and decided that in order to get a better foothold, it would be easier if people regressed back into theocratic ways, jews and muslims lived in relative peace.

Actually when the jews were expelled from europe, they mostly went to either south America or in the maghreb. Lawrence of Arabia explains well (yet subtly) why the area is a shit show.

Colonial powers drew the lines of their borders, very straight and putting minorities in power or erasing them completely and added a clause tot he constitution they wrote for these countries: if unstable, we can come stabilize it. (in the case of France, only France can interfere with the former colonies)

Palestine being an occupied state in an ongoing war against Israel and having no official army, cannot be judged by the same standards.

You would not judge an American taking up arms against an invader.
You really would not.
What's the difference here?

Also Hamas get a bad rep when throwing rockets but nobody mention them when Israel bomb an hospital and Hamas provide medical attention to the citizens because few people in the ASA know that there is two wings of hamas.

A social one and a military one.
And people saying that Israel has the right to defend itself miss the point that Israel could sue for peace at any time, given that Palestine is pretty much annihilated yet they prefer continuing the war and occupying so in that regard, who could refuse to argue that Palestine also has a right to defend itself? Against a much stronger aggressor who is occupying their territory for the past 67 years.

I mean right now, USA has nukes and according to the last president, most of the world is a shit hole and if we have nukes, why not use them?
There is a post about Cucknadians, major allies to the USA and there is a pervasive myth about American exceptionalism so I guess you already have a nuclear armed rogue country who look down on every country with major contempt. Projection is great. (edit: I forgot the part about harbouring a massive resentment against each others and look at how united the country is after the last pres who did everything he could to sow it back together.)

Britain is 100% responsible for Israel. France is half of sykes-picot

Your ancestors are more responsible for the current Middle East than any American Frenchie. Seek Christ

Also, trump only threatened to nuke North Korea, and that’s being loose with “fire and fury”. He didn’t threaten to nuke anyone else, remove your head from your ass

I didnt read the comments so I dont know if it has been mention yet.
In my opinion, criticism on Israel is appropriate, but not as an excuse-pass to talk bad about Israel in general.

critisizm is not =/= being critical.

We shouldn't criticize Israel about this week (yet) we should wait to find out what's really happening. Wait to find out how the AP and Al Jazeera didn't know that Hamas was operating out of their own building, or did they and they were ok with shooting rockets at civilians? If so that is equally damning.

rather than jump to the assumption that Israel is doing something wrong.

we should honestly commend Israel for the steps takes in protecting civilians after 3,000 rockets are fired directly at theirs.

We dont do that knocking stuff, we shock and awe, so does everyone else. Especially Hamas.

It's possible to be critical of people on both sides of a conflict.

Hope this helps!

Just make sure you're not being critical of one side because you're being force fed propaganda from the other.

Definitely a tough one to be sure about, given the huge amount of propaganda, censorship, and astroturfing found on news & social media

There is a huge amount of it.

Like, all we hear is civilians in gaza blown up.

But we dont hear anything about the fact that mroe hamas rockets fired at civilians in israel, landed in gaza instead.

If the death count in israel is as high as it is for the % of rockets that landed there, then there is no doubt that the % (majority?) of deaths in gaza is a result of those hamas rockets as well.

We're just not thinking critically about this issue, we're thinking "critisizingly" against the state of israel.

I think its because most people feel bad about the American Indian thing, and so they project that guilt onto the Palestinians.

But either way, it's par for the course of throwing the jew under the bus so people can feel better about their own crimes.
