When I first got on live, I was around 14, and the noob guild I joined went to war with another guild. I dueled someone in the enemy guild and said, totally serious, "Let's dance." That person was subjected to the dumbest thing anyone on EverQuest has ever said.

A friend in high school had a big party at his house when his parents were gone. His house was slightly damaged. He told his parents I rampaged his house with a hockey stick - I wasn't even at that party. SO...logged onto his account and deleted his 60 druid. Goodbye friendship, goodbye toon. Good riddance.

I used to watch my friend on live during kunark pull Rinna to EC tunnel and subsequently kill all of the evil race chars.

When I was around 14 and naive. A friend of a friend wanted to play EQ again but couldn't pay for an account

I guess I assumed being a friend of a friend meant he would be of exemplary character. As such I passed on the log in details of another friend who was on a break from eq but his parents left his account rolling. I knew all these people IRL so what could go wrong, right?

Of course when my friend returned to EQ I had to answer some awkward questions about where some of his Tallon Zek gear got to. He was particularly disappointed to have lost his fbss.

I felt real dumb and shitty to be so trusting and also to have so easily betrayed the trust of my friend.

As such I am now more cautious about sharing account details these days. That said, the friend who had his fbss pinched gave me his details again for p99. Although he still occasionally brings up the missing fbss I guess it's now largely water under the bridge.

I did gift his enchanter a ggr in the hope of absolving my guilty conscience, but he pretty much gave up that toon as he figured he picked the wrong race/deity combo.

Iirc I also sourced and chipped in towards the fungi for his monk, in the hope that would kick start him on to his epic. Turns out getting the fungi was his main motivation for playing so slipped into a period of absence again.

We recently rolled fresh toons on Red. I'm just wondering how far we'll get before he flakes out again!

Charm and sow a snake in ec, break charm then drag it just close enough to agro all the guards and merchants then let the snake die in tunnel, watch all the npcs kill the evils... this was back in 2010ish.

Worst thing I did was actually back in 1999 within a few months of starting EQ itself.

I convinced my friend to play about the same week as I got the game, and we leveled/played together. One day, he got incredibly lucky and someone who was killing dwarf guards in Butcher Block ended up getting a Box of Abu-Kar, and they already had one. The guy shouted FFA for it and my friend got lucky. We were level appropriate for the zone at the time, so probably 10ish.

Some months later, after they removed the Box of Abu-Kar from loot tables, he was over at my house playing EQ with me (we were just barely teenagers at the time). I noticed he had his login details in a text file. I made note of them. I later logged into his account and traded his Box of Abu-Kar to me. I think I justified it to myself by feeling he didn't "earn" it, and that I played more than he did, or some other bullshit to make me feel okay about it in the moment. To attempt to make it seem like a bug, I even went as far as to buy a "Box of Lute Strings" from a vendor, which had the same graphic icon, and put it in its place. I even remember where I did it, in North Freeport near the bank.

When he logged on next and freaked out, I tried to reinforce the "it must have been a bug" angle, and he never ended up doing anything about it. In hindsight, I am not sure why he didn't decide to petition it -- believing it to be a bug or not. Maybe he knew/figured it out. I would've been outed by the GM and likely suspended/banned.

We continued to play EQ together for quite some time. He ended up getting bored of the game sometime just before Velious came out.

Of all the toxic garbage things I've done over the years on EQ Live, that stands to be the one that I actually regret and feel terrible over.

I recall eating a Prickly Pear on my first Open Vox Raid on live during the early days of EQ thinking it was just a snack as it shared the same Iron Ration's picture. I felt pretty bad about it due to the SKs reaction, but in the end it wasn't on purpose so I got to finish the raid with them.

Bees on Isle 1 anyone ?
I may have screwed up some MQs, but as I nice person I gave them back what they paid.

The only bad thing I did that I can think of after all these years was more of a sweet revenge.
There was a well known guy who Sold Loot Rights to High End Raid Gear back on the original Lanys server I played on which went for many years.
Didn't know the guy, all I knew is he had access to gear I wouldn't be able to obtain at that time.
I ran a legit Casino for a very long time in the EC tunnel starting poor and building up from there.
Eventually I approached the guy in question we went over how we would proceed about the item, etc I paid him 450k and we went with his box crew / guild to raid in Gates of Discord. The item didn't drop that time and from that point on he acted like if someone else was playing his toons. I swallowed the whole thing and told him he could have made much more money with me simply by being nice.

Long story short, I kept track of all the Transactions the guy was doing because he was auctioning them in public channels. Spoke with the Different Buyers, Used Different toons of my own to do business with the guy to gather more information, etc.
Revenge day came when a friend I had eventually revealed to me that he was a Guide In-game so I explained the story to him which rapidly did snowball effect leading to a huge investigation.
Scammer Guy got his multiple accounts and whole guild banned for RMT, when I think about it I still wish I had gotten the item I was looking for in the first place QQ.
