I never liked lists with camps either. I agree you should have to physically be at the camp to be on line. Wouldn't eliminate all problems but might fix a few that imo exist.

I'm no one's secretary, least of all in some video game. I dont keep lists. I leave when I'm finished, and walk away slowly without looking back.

lists are bull shit...but the rule was created because the devs decided (maybe rightly) that the authentic way camps worked in classic was that folks could legit pass their camp on to whoever they wanted when they left.

the current iteration of the rules allows, de facto, for the camp owner to pass it on how he wants. all you have to do is fabricate a name that isn't online, an alt you have camped there, a guildmate....or you could just make up a nonsense name.

Apparently, this is allowed "because classic" ---- which maybe it is.
