I think the world (of Everquest) is better off without crass, homophobic or mildly racist names. Granted, someone with a name like Douchelord would be mildly entertaining as a group puller. "Hey Douchelord, find us one with a T-Staff!"

I think 99% of the players feel this way.

People are most upset when they had a name like "Winchester" or some other rather inoffensive name for 5+ years that suddenly gets wiped off.

I have no issues with that name at all. In fact, as a Shaun of the Dead fan, I find it quite clever.

I have major issues with it, especially now that someone is talking about it as a movie reference.

Winaar is a beautiful elvish name.

It's a mispelling of Weiner.

It's a sausage pun, and one step away from the Scottish processed meat product that must not be named.

TBH, it's a dick joke too, and if I were staff I'd feel ashamed, not that I'm saying they should do. I'm sure it was an oversight.

If it was Wiinar, I would agree.

But Winaar clearly emphasizes the 'aa' part of the name which is a fitting name for a wood elf.

Only if the wood elf was named after a wiener. This is clearly derived from wiener.
