Alrighty then.....I installed Titanium. I installed Duxa's installer and ran it. First time I chose the easy option at top (recommended) and it went well. I set up a new shortcut and added the "patchme" to the end. I double clicked the shortcut and logged on. The screen where you choose your character said my spells files were outdated and to visit p1999.org. What I did was run Duxa again and choose the last option "update spells." Logged on again and still have the outdated spells message.
Question: In the P1999 getting started thread there are several things I need to do and there is no mention of Duxa. In this Duxa thread it is implied that all I have to do is run Duxa and I'm good to go. After having run Duxa should I do all the creating new folders and move the files like it says in p1999 getting started thread or was Duxa supposed to do this? I'm farther along than I thought I'd be and I don't want to screw it up. I'm gonna go to bed and tweak it some more tomorrow....

There was a spell file update that likely hasn't been made in to Duxa. Go to the home page of P99 and click the getting started guide. About halfway down you'll see a spell file .zip.
All you have to do is download that, and drag those files in to your EverQuest directory. Rewriting any files it prompts you for. That's it.

To answer your question, yeah you only need duxa's installer and shouldn't need anything else. Were just in a weird spot right now because with Kunark lots of new spell files are being released.

Hi there -
I am using the installer. On one of the steps it says that there is a fix for the multi-core problems and to use the new shortcut on the desktop. However, the installer didn't place a new shortcut on the desktop, in my case. Do you mean just to use the one that the "Getting Started" process has you create? Thank you!

Note that it will only create this shortcut if you run option (0) or the CPU fix option. Other options will not create one. So that may be your issue?

I do believe I selected option #2, which looked like it was supposed to do the multi-core fix, but don't think it built the icon. I'll re-test it - it is possible I am incorrect.

I have got a pretty strange issue.
So I was experiencing some issues, ones that I thought could be solved through installing this. So I simply re-installed my client (which is Titanium), installed the "Recommended" option from the fix menu. After that finished installing, I started up from the client that is created with this fix. Logged in, chose my server and waited. Then I got an almost-instant error message along the lines of this: "eqgame.exe has encountered an issue and needs to close." There's an option to Debug (which does nothing), and this is the only message I keep getting. I've tried running in Compatibility Mode (95, 98/ME), and that doesn't help either. I've even manually removed the Backup files into a special folder to see of that would help (of course, it didn't). This wasn't happening before I installed the fix, and I'm wondering if I can get any help on this issue.

Also make sure the game is NOT in program files, put it in to c:/ windows sometimes causes problems when writing/reading from Program Files with everquest.
