You don't know how to use or interpret a dictionary.

Lets stop here pal.

Derp's excitement with his mildly substantive point is further obfuscating what little cerebral clarity he has. Don't encourage it Raev.

edit: Seriously, how can you not read that sentence as a textbook example of Webster's definition? The 500 E notes are effectively being taken away from the populace due to government regulations.

I wonder if there is a word for 'desperately trying to nitpick where no errors exist'. That would describe you perfectly.
They are not being "taken away", they are being "exchanged"

I am not nitpicking, these are simple yet entirely different concepts. Infants have an inherent understanding of the difference.

You do know the difference between "having something being taken away", or "seized", and having "something exchanged", right?

When you spend DKP its an exchange. When you get fined 50 DKP, the DKP got confiscated.

Capitulation, round 2. I'm going to go swimming, so you won't have to worry about me blowing gaping holes in your idiotic opinions for a while.

P.S. They are being taken away because you do not have the option to keep them. Duh.

You get something of equal value in exchange.

Hence "exchange", not "confiscation".

Again, if they were confiscated, you would get nothing in exchange.

Try websters again, maybe call in an adult..

You seem to think the meaning of a word depends on opinion? Sorry to let you down there.

If Raev's posting doesn't warrant SoRP honorary status, I have no idea what will.

15 years using euros and i still have yet to see a 500€ bill.

Nobody ever used that shit, stop trying to make a big deal about something that has none, you're making a fool of yourself.

I have no idea
That much is obvious. If the exchange is compulsory, enacted unilaterally by an authority such as government then it would still qualify as a confiscation. This is so hard : /

Which is actually more than the whole EU debt= 87,4% of GDP.
