No the map is still there, and i don't understand your issue with it. There has to be a cluster of players for you to show up, and it encourages pvp to take place. One of the most irritating parts of red was always the fact that most people hide from pvp the majority of their time online.
I'll reiterate, this server was designed for low pve investment and easy pvp access with 6 month seasons where the top people on the leaderboard get a title or something before starting again. The reason for the resets is mainly so we don't run into the issue where one crew massively out gears the rest of the server and new people or crews can't ever hope to compete.
