That's the funniest part about it, you threw down 500 bones on a watered down john wayne pee shooter. For 300 dollars, any honest red blooded american could have a ruger 10/22 that is: Versatile, can be used as a tactical rifle, a sharpshooter, a plinker or just a good ol down home barn door door-stop. It fits a 10, 25 or 50 round magazine or a 250 round drum if you let your nuts hang low. Not to mention there are thousands of accessories you can purchase to bling out your rifle with.

Heh you are gonna break even on cost by the time you buy that archangel kit or bull barrel or new trigger set up and the clips you listed each cost extra aswell seeing as you only get a 10 rnd box clip with your ruger ...... and I walked out of the gunshow with my henry for 335 $ not 500 ..... gotta love Alabama gun laws

If you read back you will notice I needed somthing that wouldn't alert the entire world I was shooting ..... I also prefer a .308 for any normal hunting and yes I realize the time needed to rack a round can make or break the outcome of any confrontation ....... I still prefer to not keep a round in the chamber unless I'm expecting to need to pull the trigger (yes horrible idea for personal defense )

I currently use the archangel stock on my 10/22 and love it ( minus the front gay flash suppressor and plastic bayonet, which are useless considering I have a custom bull barrel). and I currently have 3 bx-25 magazines and 2 bx-50 x 2 50 round mags. Plus a ass load of 10 rounds that I came across for next to nothing.

I love a good lever action. But I can assure you, you just cannot beat a older quality marlin 336 in 30-30. Probably the best brush rifle invented and hella easy to take care of and keep clean, unlike the Winchester where you have to hammer out 9000 pins to clean it .
