George Zimmerman was acquitted of murder charges after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin in 2012. He successfully used his firearm to defend himself and is alive and free, but his life is pretty bleak. Three years have passed since the shooting, and now Zimmerman:
  • is divorced.
  • is homeless.
  • is $2.5 million in debt for his criminal defense.
  • has several times been accused of domestic violence by his ex wife and girlfriend, who later recanted their stories
  • has been the victim of an attempted murder.
Fuck shooting people. Yeah maybe you survive but say goodbye to life as you know it. I'd almost rather die than have to go through that shit. Almost.

Iruin, that story you fabricated is why hollow point should be legal. Intruder would be done and there is 0 chance the bullet goes through him to hit anyone else. But idiots like you don't know that and have voted to make those illegal as well.
Ok another option.

BOOM the father kills the burglar. Later after he is proven to have used his weapon in self defense he is striken with a deep depression discovering that the burglar was just a young misguided youth. He turns to alcohol to sooth the memories of watching someones child slowly die on his own sons bedroom floor.

The memory was never shaken from his own son either. He shuts himself off from his friends at school and suffers from traumatic flashbacks.

A year down the road the father in an alcohol induced rage accidentally discharged his forearm, this time not at an intruder but at his wife. He turns the gun against himself and the child is left under the care of social work and becomes a responsibility of the state.

Shooting people. Not even once.

And remeber the intruder in the original fabricated story that defends the use of firearms said it was a burglar. Anyone that's seen Antman knows that means he was unarmed and was only after material objects.

Guns for self defense or protection are fucking stupid.
Just wondering what you would do if someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night. How would you attempt to protect yourself and your family from being raped and/or murdered? Alot of violent sex offenders start out as simple burglars. And even if you are fortunate enough to have called 911, there's no guarantee the cops will show up in time to save you.

At least with a gun you have a chance to save yourself. But if you're more comfortable just bending over and taking it then have fun with that. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It was a serious question though. What would you do?

If we're talking a rapist murderer that breaks into my house and I have enough time to do something about it. I'd taze the shit out of the guy.

And how would you magically know what the intention of this intruder was? I am guessing you have magic 'ESPN' powers?

You sound like you are either;

a.) low IQ autist

b.) young and naive

c.) just trying to be contrarian despite knowing you make no sense

Which is it?! Innoruuk wills it that you tell us.

The point of gun ownership isn't fun, or self-defense from groids (although the right to have such is absolutely vital), it's inspiring the fear in state masters that comprises the most vital, if unspoken, "check and balance" of the American system.

That's actually not really true, if you read writings such as the first congressional debate on arms and militias 1789 and relevant correspondence from the founders before during and after the ratification of the second amendment (you can do this at the Library Of Congress online probably, I don't know...such things did not exist when I read up on it...) you will see a very different picture.

The second Amendment of the US constitution is not to keep the government in check at all. The founders had just fought a brutal war to establish their government, they did not want it to be destroyed. The Second Amendment is not meant to fight domestic tyranny as, because domestic tyranny is not supposed to be possible, the purpose of the second amendment was to create a government that had no teeth with which to exert tyranny in the first place.

The USA is not supposed to have a standing army in peacetime. Just a Navy. For mainland defense, every citizen is supposed to be in a militia that is ready and able to assist in national defense. Regional forces are supposed to be autonomous except for when war has been officially declared, only then are they supposed to have federal oversight.

Every able bodied man in the USA is supposed to be in a militia.

The idea that guns are ever to be pointed inwards is just marketing for manufacturers taking advantage of . They don't actually care if you know the depth of your responsibilities as an American. They just want you to buy shit. And vote for the people who are most likely to help them achieve higher sales, and more lucrative military contracts.

And of course, people love rights, but are not always as enthusiastic about responsibilities.

Normally I'd talk a bit of shit to you for being lazy about something that I learned about back when the only option to do so was a card catalog and a stack of books, and many, many hour...But the fact that the military should not exist in its current state and that you and your dad and any brothers should be subject to combat training and drills has been actively suppressed through omission for the majority of America's existence.

Look into it, it's very interesting, you should learn the true scope of the founder's intent; they were not just cobbling together an unlikely nation, they were trying to create a new paradigm for humanity.

If you're capable of stepping away from the buzzwords and rhetoric, that is. You don't seem to have much else going on, but hope springs eternal.
