My pal bought alpha and didnt like it so he letting me use his.

At this point I've got horse and boat and got to the farming tutorial section. Kind of a task to find empt plots, pay taxes to keep them, tend your fields and flocks, etc. Kind of like farmville.

Travel with your supplies farmed to castle or whatever to build stuff, can get jacked in transit I am assuming. Again no learning curve otherwise atm

other then pvp game sucks so gonna be 3 weeks until just hardcore gankers left and then another 3 weeks until they quit because they cant gank each other

This game isn't EQ hard to equate it to any previous MMO because it doesn't run like anything else. It's a sandbox not a Themepark so unlike EQ you can't lock people out of content by gearing up first and griefing them off. They can do their tradeskills and get great endgame gear, run instances, steal and buy it off the auction house etc.

Erase EQ from your mind because in this game dragon raiding is not the a way to gear up past everyone else and leave them empty handed. Their is no griefing them off. Best you can do is set them on another path for gear but no way to lock them out.

Only way to beat people in Archeage is outskill them in pvp, Blue's aren't gonna run the server here lol and red's can't stop blues from gearing up.

Game is really fun and appealing to those who like open world pvp, and fucking around with friends just griefing people

However I don't see the population being high at all, or lasting any reasonable amount of time and I personally don't see this game lasting

game is gonna have same problem every single open world pvp game/server has had past 10 years

pvpers grief the people farming and the farming is already not very fun so the farmers just quit or move to another game/server that doesnt allow them to be griefed

like i said it will be a fun month but this game will have same problem these games always have which is the pvpers griefing the fuck out of the non pvpers and them all quitting relatively quick

When rift came out in 2011 all I did was stay in that guardian level 18-30 dark forest zone and gank / grief people until the game died in 2012. Was the best world pvp since eq.
