But just because he's a professor at MIT doesn't mean that he's automatically correct about everything he says, though I tend to agree with much of what he says.

You make a good point here. I would like to expand on it by saying the same can be true for almost any professor at any college. People should never just swallow and believe everything they're told just because they "learned it at school". Always do your own research. History has a lot to offer on many subjects if people take the time to look it up.

One thing I find humorous... although republicans control the house, democrat candidates actually won 1.4 million more votes combined than republicans did in the 2012 congressional elections.

Literally the only reason republicans control any part of the government at the current time is because of crookedness (gerrymandering) and quirks in electoral demographics.
