From what I understood by reading patch notes, the druid track reduction was temporary and was reverted back after a few weeks?

Surprised to see this change.
Druid tracking started at a max of 20 skill points on live until the Plane of Sky patch, which bumped it to 50.

Wasn't bumped to 125 skill level until 3 months after Velious.

Druids had it too good here.

Looks like the most HPs he has had is around 2700. Checked about 10 encounters by people today in the log for it.

Very much intended, I just did not make a public patch note about it. This NPC's previous low hps (and low respawn timer) were not classic.

His is right. I had two tabs open comparing blue and red, and red has people killing him everyday. On blue the last time was right before the patch, so I opened the wrong tabs to compare.

thanks for the clarification. What data/evidence was this based on?

edit: also looks like respawn time was increased

I don't want to use EQEMULauncher yet using eqchangesv28.zip does not work, the login screen still complains about missing files

Did you extract v28.zip into your base EQ directory? Do you have adequate permissions to accomplish that task? Are you sure the eqgame.exe executable was not running while you extracted the files?

Either way this issue is best solved in the tech discussion forum.
