Meh, I don't see a lot wrong with educating people in shitholes like parts of Africa that birth control exists, rather than encourage them to breed like fish where they expect 30-50% of the baby fish schools to die off

But by birth control I'm more of a fan of condoms and other forms like IUD rather than abortions

this is by design

central africa has a similiar geographic advantage that the united states has, so it is purposefully kept in a state of chaos.

were some faction to realize this and unite the continent across central africa, it would result in a nation with the geographic security and abundant resources like the U.S. has. everything to make a world super-power exists there, minerals, oil, year-round agriculture, etc. central africa is in a better position than china or russia, but it's constantly fighting itself so nothing gets done.

it's the only other place on earth where this is possible, no other region can be as self sufficient as the US could, so since europeans showed up the entire western world has worked to guarantee that a stable and united central african super-power cannot develop

it does to a degree. there are issues with agriculture and minerals. but that isn't a deal breaker. it's more to the fact that they are already established "developed nations" and those entities aren't going to be likely to agree to be one nation, while everything is always up in the air in africa because no one can agree on permanent borders. being undeveloped without agreed upon borders leaves africa rife for unification. If someone could convince them to get out of their own way.

a south american super power would kinda be like asking all of europe to unite under a banner.

not impossible, but basically impossible

There's Pan-Arabism and Pan-Africanism too.

It's the time it is and it is now.

right but you'd have to get them all to agree to cooperate for something bigger and better

then along comes a CIA attached Green Beret with a suitcase full of cash and the promise of whatever your weakness is and then you do whatever you're told, and are happy to do it.

it's not like we don't do business with venezuela (overtly) because of their socialist authoritarian gov't, we do business with china everyday. the VZ problem is that they refuse to get on board with global finance, central banks etc. within their gov't cabal there is this historical, like traditional revulsion of anything American, european etc.

feels like i could know more about south american politics, but that's reading for another day
