i guess you could call it that, i had just taken my jacket off coz the sun came out and they decided to snap a picture just then .. it was cold enough to warrant it, i don't wear scarves in the sun usually

but more properly it's a keffiyeh, some people call them shemaghs or balaclavas, even tho that is a wrong designation as i understand it.
