Do characters on inactive accounts get wiped?

Hello, I played for a about a month or so last year on Project99 and was thinking about returning to play some more recently. I just checked the server though and it seems my character is gone. Do inactive characters get deleted? If so, about how often do you have to log in to not get wiped? Is there any way to recover deleted characters?

we do not delete characters. there are still toons around that people havent logged in with since 2010.

Well, a couple years ago the staff would respond to a name request by checking on the existing char and if it was old and basically unlevelled I think they have given a few out. Dunno if they deleted the original completely or just appended an 'x'. I doubt this applies unless you are looking for a lvl 1 char you had and I get the impression it wasn't done much.
