Then why complain about tool you can use to seriously troll the incompetent without destroying everyones freedom. Its not all or nothing.

We should have /ooc muters and you should need to be awesome period to get away with shenanigans. I only want smedyquest quality /ooc. Infact you should have to earn the right to /ooc trashtalk or troll.

The bar is set so low here its ridiculous. Make the mutes last 30 mins. This way the muter has to stay logged in to keep the other person muted. Think of the new chat pvp dynamics. I'm willing to compromise. I like /ooc for general purpose and the occasional witty quip. I can handle the million pensises and fecalizations. But I like to promote quality content. I will do anything I can to get there.

***Additionally when someone is muted there should be some random funny text letting everyone know the muted got owned by a mod and which mod, so mods can engage in epeenery and popularity or infamy contests.

Thats reason enough for mods in /ooc for me. The other reason is you can /ignore all you want yet /ooc blooms with all the people crying who cant bother to type the command anyway, I seriously don't need 80% of the server on ignore. Just for quality /ooc. If I could ignore /ooc only and keep tells/guild/party open that'd be fine... I could still communicate with those players for groups etc and they could have their private little global chat.

Or heck just implement .channels and remove ooc all together.
