Clerics EXPECT to get 3-500pp for a rez (from higher lvl players). Druids EXPECT to get 100pp for a port (from higher level players).

You server-vets need to realize some players actually dont have the plat you do, let alone for ports and rezzes.
I haven't found that to be the norm. When I tip 100pp for a port the druid almost always thanks me for being so generous and more then once has told me to send them a tell for a free port sometime.

Cleric is the most boring class to play. Also the most thankless. Virtually every group's success hinges on the cleric. Any other class can up and leave the group and work arounds and reps can be found easily. When a cleric leaves, the group is done. A good cleric who grinds his boring character to 50+ is entitled to every plat he asks for from rezzing. Especially when he doesn't spend 10 minutes online and he gets 3-5 tells for rezzes, usually a good 20-30 minutes out of his way.

All that said, I haven't charged anyone for my clicks yet because I know how hard and frustrating this game can be and I like to give a leg up when I can, but it's completely reasonable to expect to pay someone that saves you time and hassle, whether they're standing on your carcass or not.

Plat is time. Your time to make up the lost exp and the cleric's time when s/he has to sit and regen the mana from rezzing you.

I'm a cleric and I charge 400p on my forum for rezz's. This game is a business, every class has a skill, necros summon corpses and charge 5-1k a corpse. Clerics like donations but why does it make them greedy when they are also trying to make some money? First thing would be to ask a guild member before an outside member, that way you could at least try a free rez.

Every class has a lucrative mony making option if they decide to become entrepeneurs*

I always stop and click clothed corpses that I pass. Takes no time away from me and potentially save somebody else a shit ton of time. I see a lot of clerics do the same and have come to rescue me out of no where as well. Most clerics are cool.

I tip a minimum of 100pp per rez. Sometimes more if I have the plat on me. I dont think a cleric should have to ask for a tip to be honest. By rezzing you they probably just saved you a few hours of grinding.

If anyone wanted to "charge me" for a corpse summon / port / rez, they can go find someone else to extort. That being said, I almost always try to extort people into coughing up loot / plat for opening the crypt lock. Mainly because on this server people never got it into their head that you should tip rogues .

Who's the greedy bastard, the guy who wants compensation for his time (don't think of a clicky rez as 10 seconds of that players time, think of it as the result of many days /played leveling the cleric, getting the epic quested/bought, etc.), or the guy who wants something for nothing? Derp.
