And if by "every time they patch" you mean, every 4 months, I could do without.

EDIT: Btw, Im not really sure what you mean by "Fox News Viewer" but if that was some sly attempt at ... whatever it was, I think you missed the ball. Anyways, wasn't trying to bash on your patcher, I'm just saying -- its completely unnecessary and causes WAY more problems and threads than it needs to.

If you goto the news and announcements section(patches are news and announced) and look for the latest patch notes you then click on the link and Ta da.

Thanks you've echoed an earlier response pointing to to the same suggestion. It's still only half of the battle. The other half is setting up the login information. I personally teamviewed his computer and unziped the eqchanges27 into his /sony/everquest directory. I edited the eqhost file and that's all I could remember to do off the top of my head. He still is stuck at "logging in to server".

They should probably sticky the old install instructions so that it's straight forward. It doesn't make sense for new players to have to search forums to find something.

I understand the premise of the launcher, the idea is to make it easy and I think it's a great idea. There needs to be a backup when the EQ emu server is having problems though...
