the time invested to relevel and regear and account is probably a decent punishment imo. that's like an extra 15 ingame days of your life.

Banning is better. Sometimes it's a double-whammy and the offender has toons on both servers. A real two-fer-one, y'know?

they were banning people before this btw, I know of 2 people who had gotten banned in the past month for MQ/SEQ

when u see one or two banned, its because staff was doing something that led to that account and a flag was noticed. today Ephi ran a query to pull all flagged accounts and ban, same way that they did the 365 back in Aug2011.

list not complete. some of these are false positives, but we have 100% accurate means of seeing if it was used on p99 or not, and will clear that up.

also. some kids may have avoided the ban this time. i know we have acquired a new version of MQ that was made just for R99, and supposedly works without detection. so Ephi and staff will dig into that compile, and after its thoroughly torn apart, we'll add a way to detect it if in fact its currently not detected. should not take to long. but anyone using anything from that RG site will be going down very soon as well [You must be logged in to view images.
