look, we could release velious today if we didnt give a shit about making sure it worked and was as classic as possible. Not saying i want you guys to rush velious out. I was just saying I hope that when it is released that there is chance that event will happen again. The only reason i am even tempted by this new server is the chance of being able to get some of the gear that will be taken out at a later date (mainly a guise). I am happy y'all take your time and appreciate that. However, please consider doing that event again!

Just a bit of a PSA: if you criticize this server at all, you are automatically butthurt/jealous/nuthugging the p99 staff. There is no way anyone could possibly have a legitimate criticism of this server, as so many posters in this thread have confirmed. Repeat: this server is perfect and has absolutely no bugs, and nothing bad could possibly be said of it.

And the boxing does kill it for me. Mainly because I don't have the ability to box (my pc can't handle it) so i feel like I am behind everyone else who does box.

the main turn off for this server (at least the only one ill mention for fear of ban hammer) is the raiding scene. people dont play on here to relive poopsocking. at least, i hope not. this server allows people to relive classic eq. noone with a life is going to be able to compete here on the level some people take it. clearly blue99 needs to figure out something or open up a new server. p99 is way too damn top heavy for just kunark and classic.

another one of the things i dont understand is some of the nerfs/changes that are made according to timeline. why punish new players by not allowing them to camp their own pair of jboots in najena or their own guise in lguk? what is the point of following the live timeline? i mean you are eventually going to stop. open up firepots to everyone, let people experience all classic has to offer.

all in all, even if it isnt perfect (im not playing either so i dunno how bad or good it is) new servers will always be fun. everyone on the same playing field nice once in awhile.

I think that Anderdale guy has mentioned how badly he wants a guise at least 30 times in this thread alone. People are pathetic. Turning into a Dark Elf won't make EQ fun for you. And if you want to be a Dark Elf so badly then just make one, doof.
