Trust me it's quite easy. I basically have the same setup that you are trying to do.

For the standard filigree or default_old I am working on a couple more sets of spell icons (Luclin era and the classic classic [like the velious ones]) that will work with any square based icon UI. So you will download the uichanges.zip for the type of UI you like and then overwrite the basic icons with your personal preference.

Lots of choices for you.

Could I have a screenshot or two so we can get a better idea of what these look like? Sorry I'm starting to get confused by all the different sets of icons and types of hotkey bars...

I just have to finish off the default_old icons and then I'll start a new post with all of the options and links with pictures.

Is anyone else bothered that this new velious UI replaces the "Who" button with a "Find" button? Which is both not functionnal and non classic. (On that window who's name i forgot with "Invite", "Disband", "Sit/Stand" , "Walk/Run") If so, is there any way to make it into a "Who" button?

Hey guys, I had a problem where I liked the new Velious UI, but wanted the 10x1 horizontal bars instead of the vertical one. I also have 2 action bars, not one, so this was also a problem. My remedy was to simply copy the Default EQUI_HotButtonWnd file into my Velious UI file and it works just fine now.

The Animations file calls the spell icons sizes differently for Velious and for the standard UI. You may find some spells don't show correctly and are stretched/squished.
